Please correct me if I'm wrong (I know I'm still new and have lots and lots more to learn, but that's what I've gathered so far). Ar Wing Pro, LOS flight today, 12 degrees Celsius and usual wind (38 - 40kmh) flies great.I could withstand the cold temperature (which due to wind and humidity felt noticeable lower) for only 55 minutes of total flight time, from which only 36 minutes of motor time (my usage) throttle constant (except gliding) at 50 (7,5Amp indicated indoor by Ampere-meter). Additionally, prop pitch makes a big difference as to how much power is drawn/motor is taxed for any given prop rotor diameter, with "efficient" or cruise props being pitched much less than higher performance climbing props for the same motor size or KV. It is ridiculously easy to launch, and I routinely fly it in winds of 15+ mph with gusts over. (A project that never got off the ground.) The wing was mocked up and a FrSky R9MM Rx was soldered up, however it was not fired up. Price is 350 with DJI Air Unit installed as pictured, 250 with NIB. I would like to meet locally in central California, but will consider shipping at buyer's expense if nobody local wants it. This flies great, but am selling it because I'm more of a quadcopter guy. I would also monitor the current consumed at cruise to see if it's overtaxing the motor. In level flight it maxes out at around 125kmh, so around 75mph. The new Speedy Bee F4WING-APP flight controller sealed in the box and a clean AR Wing Pro that has been out of the box but not flown. Selling a Sonic Modell Ar Wing Pro, fully built with only three flights on it. With the stock setup, I believe it has a 1400 kv motor, which is pretty slow spinning when compared to other flying wings in this size class that are sold as PNP. Changed to CW/CCW props and flew off fine, but still. It was hard to launch (side toss), it banked hard, I had no time to react, the arduplane saved it (FBWA) scary but successful launch. First launch did not go well - it rolled left onto it's back and hit the ground inverted - that caught me out as with pullers that was not expected. With motor off and level flight the glide slope is 7,4 (with speed 15m/s) My setup is stock with 4s2p 18650. ![]() ![]() ![]() The AR Wing Pro is a 1000mm Flying Wing with a target to bring flight efficiency to the next level. With tons of upgrades from the original AR Wing Airframe this new Plane could become a new Benchmark in the FPV Wing Entry and Midrange class. That's why I said for slower cruising, rather than ripping around fast, where fast throttle response or huge climb rates are more important. Had another couple of flights with the twin puller AR Wing - iNav, 1900kv motors, 4S 4000, 6x4 props, DJI FPV. The AR Wing Pro is the newest addition of FPV Wing Models in the Sonicmodell Collection. While that may be true, I think if you correctly size the esc and battery with the motor (especially minding the KV value), that a variety of props can work in different situations. A larger prop may overload the motor, causing it to burn up.
